”Super Gap’ innovators leading the Korean manufacturing industry

Recently, Korean semiconductor manufacturers like Samsung and SK hynix have gained global recognition and market share. Like so, RTM’s cofounders Ki-Suk Sung and Jin-Woo Park were introduced as one of ten ‘Super Gap’ innovators in the Korean manufacturing industry.

RTM was founded in 2018 and has been spending an especially busy year in 2020. RTM has received funding from VC such as Blue Point Partners and Kingsley Ventures as well as various government sanctioned projects – including a research consortium with PSK, a global semiconductor dry strip equipment maker, and UDS, a big data platform lab to develop ‘ALE tools with real time control for the 2020 Industry Technology Challenge Track for Next Generation Semiconductor Manufacturing.

Additionally, RTM is currently developing an AI solution to detect and control semiconductor process equipment based on real-time process data.

In an interview with Forbes Korea, Founder Sung stated “There are thousands of 10nm semiconductor manufacturing equipment each with close to 1million sensors outputting approximately 4.5 billion data points.”

Co-founder and CSO Park added that “we’ve collected manufacturing data across the semiconductor, battery, and industrial gas industries last year to finalize a viable solution launch in the coming year.”
